Get a Windows PC ready to use
Get a new Windows PC ready with your account, email, printer and usual programs, with help finding your way around. We can explain the everyday steps you want to keep using after setup.
New computer setup
We help Sydney customers with Windows PCs that need physical repairs, software work or a fresh setup. The service includes laptops, desktop towers and all-in-one devices, along with email, printing, networking and file transfers.
Windows is the operating system rather than the computer manufacturer. The make, model and symptoms help us discuss hardware options, while the tasks and errors you see help us understand the software work needed.
The services below cover repairs and everyday setup for your Windows PC. You can discuss related tasks together with our Sydney team.

Get a new Windows PC ready with your account, email, printer and usual programs, with help finding your way around. We can explain the everyday steps you want to keep using after setup.
New computer setup
Get suspicious pop-ups or unwanted access investigated, with help removing harmful software and reviewing the PC's security. Let us know whether the change affects one browser or several applications.
Virus and malware removal
Get help with Outlook or another email app, or set up access to your account on a different Windows PC. An error message can help explain which part of sending or receiving is failing.
Email and connection help
Have slow startup, freezing or struggling apps checked before deciding whether a software change, repair or upgrade will help. Describe the tasks that are slow so checks focus on the delays you notice.
Help with a slow computer
Check a Windows connection problem alongside the router and other devices to work out where the fault is happening. We can compare the computer with other devices on the same connection.
Network and Wi-Fi support
Connect a printer or display, or get help when Windows stops recognising equipment that used to work. The usual printing or screen task can be tested before the visit is finished.
Network and Wi-Fi support
Move your documents and photos and discuss the applications that need setting up again on the replacement PC. Tell us about local folders as well as information held in online accounts.
New computer setup
Choose backup storage, include the files that matter and learn how to check that the backup is working. We can check that the folders you care about are included in the backup.
Backups and data recovery
Ask about a Windows error, repeated restart or loading screen, and let us know whether important files have a backup. Important files without a backup should be mentioned before recovery attempts begin.
Computer startup help
Provide the PC make and model, or custom build details, so we can discuss assessment and replacement of faulty parts. The diagnosis helps determine whether repair or replacement is the useful option.
Hardware repairs and upgrades
Discuss assessment and recovery options when files disappear or a drive stops opening, including where the files were stored. A working backup and a failed-drive recovery need different approaches.
Backups and data recovery
Have updates, storage, security and startup apps checked, with recommendations based on the problems you are having. We explain any recommended further work rather than automatically change parts.
Computer health checks
Compare keeping, upgrading or replacing the PC, taking its condition, your applications and your budget into account. The comparison should reflect the applications and equipment you already use.
Upgrades and purchase advice
Ask about an inspection and written findings for your insurer, with the computer details and its reporting requirements. The insurer makes its own decision about cover and claim acceptance.
Computer insurance reports
Contact us to find out whether your Windows, email or application problem can be handled remotely on a working PC. Hardware repairs and hands-on connections still require direct access to the device.
Remote computer supportOur Sydney team helps with Windows hardware, software and setup. We normally come to your home or workplace and can discuss suitable remote options.
We can explain rates first and give a better estimate once the fault is diagnosed. The minimum labour time is one hour per job, then 15 minute blocks. Call-out fees and travel costs are not charged; onsite time starts when we arrive. Parts are additional as needed. Include the computer make and model as well as any Windows error. Windows identifies the software platform, not the physical hardware.
Include the computer make and model as well as any Windows error. Windows identifies the software platform, not the physical hardware.
We assess whether the repair is useful for the way you use the computer and discuss replacement where appropriate. Normal diagnostic fees apply when a serious fault makes repair uneconomical or you decline the proposed work. Files and the equipment you want to keep can be considered in the decision.
We provide independent computer repairs and support. Warranty coverage for the hardware should be checked with the computer manufacturer; we do not process manufacturer warranty claims.
Repair time depends on what the assessment finds. Many jobs need around an hour, which is our minimum labour time. Parts and work that must be done offsite can affect the schedule.
