Wi-Fi and network support in Canberra

We help Canberra and Queanbeyan households with unreliable Wi-Fi and computer network connections. A visit can consider the computer, router and connected equipment together, rather than assume the internet provider is always responsible.

Tell our Canberra team which device and connected equipment are involved. We can discuss pricing and arrange a visit in the ACT or Queanbeyan, or consider remote support where the task allows it.

Check the connection from the device to the network

Tell us which devices lose their connection and where it happens. We can check the home setup and explain any equipment or settings changes that may help, while identifying provider faults that need to be raised with the provider.

We explain the findings in plain English and can discuss several related tasks during the appointment. Let us know about important information and your priorities before work begins.

  • Investigate Wi-Fi dropouts and failed connections.
  • Check router and computer settings relevant to the fault.
  • Reconnect printers and other supported network devices.
  • Compare wired and wireless behaviour where useful.
  • Discuss coverage and suitable network equipment.
  • Help identify issues to raise with the internet provider.

Getting ready for the appointment

  • Note where the connection works and where it fails.
  • Tell us whether phones and other computers are affected.
  • Have the router, printer and normal equipment available.
  • Keep details of recent provider or equipment changes.

Common questions

Is the problem my Wi-Fi or the internet service?

We can check how devices connect and compare the local setup with the provider connection. Similar symptoms can come from different parts of the system.

Can you connect my printer to the network?

We can help set up supported printers and check how the computer reaches them. Have the printer and normal connection details available.

Would new Wi-Fi equipment solve the issue?

It may help some coverage or equipment problems, but we assess the setup before recommending a purchase.

What if the provider needs to fix the connection?

We explain when the problem appears to need provider attention and what useful details you can give them.

How do I find out about pricing?

Our minimum labour time is one hour per job, and many jobs only need that hour. If more time is needed, we bill in 15 minute blocks. We do not charge call-out fees or travel costs. For onsite work, the time starts when your technician arrives. Parts cost extra if needed. The total depends on the fault and the work required, so we can give a more accurate estimate after diagnosis. Call us on (02) 6223 2333 to discuss pricing, or use our repair estimate form to send the details.

How long should I allow for the job?

Many jobs take around an hour, which is our minimum labour time per job. If extra time is needed, we bill in 15 minute blocks. After diagnosing the issue, your technician can give a more accurate time estimate and explain the options, taking the work needed and your budget into account. Some repairs need parts or work offsite, which can affect the time before the computer is ready.
