Set up a new HP computer
Have your HP ready for everyday use with email, printing, internet access and your usual software set up. We can explain the everyday steps you want to keep using after setup.
New computer setup
We help Sydney customers keep HP computers useful, from preparing a new device to investigating a fault. Hardware repairs, software support, accounts, connections and file transfers are all part of the service.
Pavilion, Envy and other HP range names cover both different designs and different generations. Include the full product details if you know them so we can discuss the particular computer rather than assume its features from the logo.
The services below cover repairs and everyday setup for your HP computer. You can discuss related tasks together with our Sydney team.

New computer setup
We can investigate browser warnings, remove unwanted software and check the computer after suspicious access or a scam. Let us know whether the change affects one browser or several applications.
Virus and malware removal
If email works on your phone but not your computer, we can check the account and email application. An error message can help explain which part of sending or receiving is failing.
Email and connection help
Get long sign-in times, freezing or slow programs checked before deciding the computer needs replacing. Describe the tasks that are slow so checks focus on the delays you notice.
Help with a slow computer
Reconnect your HP after a router change or investigate why it cannot get online with the rest of your devices. We can compare the computer with other devices on the same connection.
Network and Wi-Fi support
Set up printing from your computer, connect another display or investigate an accessory that has stopped responding. The usual printing or screen task can be tested before the visit is finished.
Network and Wi-Fi support
Bring your documents and photos across from the old machine and check that you can find them on the replacement. Tell us about local folders as well as information held in online accounts.
New computer setup
Protect photos and documents with a backup arrangement that suits the way you use the computer. We can check that the folders you care about are included in the backup.
Backups and data recovery
Describe any lights, sounds or screen messages so we can assess why the computer will not start normally. Important files without a backup should be mentioned before recovery attempts begin.
Computer startup help
The product number and photos help us discuss the right parts and assessment for a damaged or faulty device. The diagnosis helps determine whether repair or replacement is the useful option.
Hardware repairs and upgrades
Ask about files that have disappeared or a drive the computer no longer recognises. Recovery needs its own assessment. A working backup and a failed-drive recovery need different approaches.
Backups and data recovery
Have software updates, storage space and startup programs reviewed, with an explanation of what needs attention. We explain any recommended further work rather than automatically change parts.
Computer health checks
Check whether an upgrade is practical for your particular HP and compare it with the cost of changing computers. The comparison should reflect the applications and equipment you already use.
Upgrades and purchase advice
Tell us what your insurer has requested so we can discuss an inspection and the report needed. The insurer makes its own decision about cover and claim acceptance.
Computer insurance reports
A working internet connection may let us help with an email or software issue remotely. Ask us which approach suits it. Hardware repairs and hands-on connections still require direct access to the device.
Remote computer supportOur Sydney team helps with HP hardware, software and setup. We normally come to your home or workplace and can discuss suitable remote options.
We discuss rates before arranging the job and estimate more accurately after diagnosis. Labour has a one hour minimum per job, then 15 minute blocks. There are no call-out fees or travel charges, onsite time starts when we arrive, and parts are extra if required. Include the full product name and product number when available. HP devices in the same range can still use different parts.

A repair may make sense if it restores the tasks you need at a reasonable cost. We can compare it with an upgrade or replacement. Diagnostic service fees still apply when the repair is uneconomical or you decline further work. Files and the equipment you want to keep can be considered in the decision.
We offer independent paid repairs and support for HP devices. We do not represent the manufacturer or process its warranty claims; contact the manufacturer if the fault may be covered.
Allow for the one-hour minimum service, while recognising that the fault determines the work. Many jobs need around that hour; repairs involving parts or offsite attention can take longer to complete.
