Wi-Fi and network support in Wollongong
If your computer drops off Wi-Fi or equipment will not connect properly, Australian Computer Doctors can check the setup at your Wollongong home or workplace. We help with Windows PCs, Macs and the network devices they use.
A visit lets us consider the computer alongside the router, printer and other equipment. Tell us where the problem occurs and which devices still work so we can plan useful checks.

An internet fault might be limited to one computer or affect the whole household. We work through the equipment and settings to help distinguish a local problem from something your internet provider needs to investigate.
We can discuss placement, connections and suitable equipment if coverage needs improving. Advice is based on the property and setup we assess, rather than a promise that one new router will solve every issue.
- Investigate Wi-Fi dropouts and failed connections.
- Check router and computer settings relevant to the fault.
- Reconnect printers and other supported network devices.
- Compare wired and wireless behaviour where useful.
- Discuss coverage and suitable network equipment.
- Help identify issues to raise with the internet provider.

Getting ready for the appointment
- Note where the connection works and where it fails.
- Tell us whether phones and other computers are affected.
- Have the router, printer and normal equipment available.
- Keep details of recent provider or equipment changes.
Common questions
Can you help with Wi-Fi in parts of the house?
Yes. We can assess the layout and current equipment and discuss options for coverage. The suitable approach depends on the property, connections and devices rather than a single standard product.
What if the internet provider is responsible?
We can explain what our checks show and help identify information to give the provider. We cannot repair the provider’s network or control its outage and service arrangements.
Do I need to buy a router first?
Usually it makes sense to check the problem before buying equipment. Tell us what you have and what is failing so we can assess whether settings, placement or different equipment may help.
Can you connect a wireless printer?
Yes. We can help connect a suitable printer to your network and computer and investigate an existing printer that keeps dropping offline. Have the printer model available when enquiring.
How do I find out about pricing?
Our minimum labour time is one hour per job, and many jobs only need that hour. If more time is needed, we bill in 15 minute blocks. We do not charge call-out fees or travel costs. For onsite work, the time starts when your technician arrives. Parts cost extra if needed. The total depends on the fault and the work required, so we can give a more accurate estimate after diagnosis. Call us on (02) 4231 4567 to discuss pricing, or use our repair estimate form to send the details.
How long should I allow for the job?
Many jobs take around an hour, which is our minimum labour time per job. If extra time is needed, we bill in 15 minute blocks. After diagnosing the issue, your technician can give a more accurate time estimate and explain the options, taking the work needed and your budget into account. Some repairs need parts or work offsite, which can affect the time before the computer is ready.
