New computer setup
Australian Computer Doctors provides Dell computer repairs and support at homes and workplaces in Wollongong. We help with laptops and desktops, including hardware faults, software problems and getting a new device ready to use.
If you have an Inspiron, XPS, Latitude, OptiPlex or another Dell model, tell us what needs attention. We can discuss pricing, arrange a visit and help with email, connections, files and other everyday tasks as well as the repair.
Your Dell does not need to be broken to benefit from help. We can prepare a new device, sort out everyday problems or assess repairs and upgrades on the computer you already use. A Service Tag or model number helps identify the exact machine when parts are involved.

New computer setup
We investigate unfamiliar pop-ups, browser changes and programs you did not intend to install. We can remove unwanted software found and discuss practical precautions after the checks.
Virus and malware removal
If messages will not send or email has disappeared from the new computer, we can check the account and application. Tell us whether it still works on another device.
Email and connection help
We assess delays opening programs, freezing and slow startup. Storage, software and other hardware can all contribute, so we check the cause before suggesting an upgrade.
Help with a slow computer
We help investigate a Dell that drops Wi-Fi or will not connect. A visit lets us consider the computer alongside the home network and other working devices.
Network and Wi-Fi support
We can set up a suitable printer, monitor or dock and check accessories that are not behaving as expected. Mention the model and connections you want to use.

We help copy accessible documents, photos and other files to a replacement device. Keep the old computer until the transferred files have been checked.

Computer startup help
We assess damaged or failed parts and discuss replacements for the particular model. Photos and the Service Tag help us consider the likely work before arranging help.
Hardware repairs and upgrades
Tell us if a drive has become unreadable or files are missing. We assess the appropriate next step and discuss specialist recovery if needed without promising an outcome.
Backups and data recovery
We can review the existing setup, including performance, updates and backup arrangements. Mention symptoms or everyday tasks you would like checked during the visit.
Computer health checks
We help compare repair or a suitable upgrade with replacement. Advice considers the condition of the computer and what you need it to do, including any parts cost.
Upgrades and purchase advice
If your insurer requests an assessment, tell us its requirements before booking. We can discuss a report based on the device and findings; the insurer decides the claim.
Computer insurance reports
Some email, account and application tasks can be investigated remotely. We can discuss suitability when the computer is running and has a usable internet connection.

There is a one hour minimum labour time per job and further time in 15 minute blocks. We charge no call-out fees or travel costs, and onsite time starts when we arrive. Parts are extra if needed. Call us on (02) 4231 4567 or send a repair estimate enquiry; diagnosis lets us give a clearer estimate of the required work.
That depends on the fault, model and how well it meets your needs. We can compare the repair and alternatives with you. Our normal service fees apply to diagnosis even when repair is uneconomical.
Look for the identifying label on the computer or in its device information if it still runs. If you cannot find it, leave the model blank and describe the computer; we can help identify it.
We normally come to you, so you can keep the computer with its usual printer and connections. If repairs need parts or offsite work, the technician will discuss and arrange that with you.
Many jobs take around an hour, our minimum labour time. The fault determines the work, so we can explain likely timing after assessment. Parts and any offsite repairs can extend completion time.
